Should there be a problem with your library and you are no longer to access your account, PixelMags has a way for us to locate your purchases. 

All you need to do is locate the UDID number off of your device. All of our accounts are attached to this number as a security back up while at the same time are anonymous. 

Here is some information on the most common questions regarding the UDID.

What is a Unique Device Identifier?

Each iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad has a unique serial number comprised of 40 letters and numbers. This is known as the Unique Device Identifier, and more commonly by its acronym UDID. You can think of this as a hard to guess serial number and is preset into the device, by Apple, at the time of manufacture.

Why do we need to know your UDID?

Each PixelMags account uses a limited number of devices and an account needs a way to recognize your phone or iPod.

How do I get the UDID?

Normally the simplest way to get the UDID is to use iTunes, when the device is connected using the USB cable, to read the value. Sometimes, especially when you are away from your desktop, it may be more convenient to download a small utility from the App Store.

USING ITUNES

1. Open iTunes and connect your device using the USB cable.

2. In the source list, on the left, select your device.

3. In the main panel, show the device's information by selecting the tab labeled Summary

4. Reveal the identifier by clicking the label text Serial Number

5. Copy the value to the pasteboard by selecting the Copy item from the Edit menu.

USING A FREE HELPER APP

There are a number of general purpose UDID utility apps in the Store, try searching for UDID, but we have found Ad Hoc Helper to be simple to use and reliable. There is yet one greater free App in the App store called UDID Tool. It is Super fast and easy to use.
